Discovery, research methodology and geomorphologic characteristics of the site

Abstract

The article presents the underwater archaeological research of the Mesolithic site in the bed of the Ljubija Stream at the western edge of the Ljubljansko barje. The fi nds include stone artefacts, antler axes, bone tools and projectiles, a human cranium, animal bones and remains of wooden and stone structures, which were attributed to the 9th millennium BP on the basis of radiocarbon dates.
