BASIC INFORMATION

Relationship between neighboring settlements

Was the Mesolithic site of Zalog a hunting camp?

Differences in the function of camps, the season of their occupation and the spectrum of activities that the hunter-gatherer communities undertook there are known to have been present already in the Palaeolithic. In later periods these differences only grew in complexity. Studying the relationship between neighboring settlements should thus be based on systematic multidisciplinary research in the studied region as a whole.
